Your No. 4 brushed finish is low-maintenance by design.

Wipe with a soft dry cloth, following the grain direction.

Weekly Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Dry immediately after.

Fingerprints
A dry microfibre cloth removes most marks in seconds. The brushed finish scatters light — marks are far less visible than on a polished or mirror surface.

Spills
Wipe immediately. Do not leave wet items sitting on the surface.

Do not use
Steel wool, abrasive pads, bleach, or chloride-based cleaners.

On surface marks over time
The Sten will develop surface marks with use. On a brushed finish, these follow the grain direction and integrate into the surface — not isolated scratches.
This is patina. It is not damaged.
